City of Ostend

The City of Ostend is a modern Belgian Metropolis, rich in tourism and situated by the North Sea. Despite Ostend's numerous tourist attractions, it is a city where business is taken seriously. It has a unique blend of business and pleassure.  The City of Ostend has an active International Development Policy that encourages project based interventions in emerging markets. Through our Belgian registered Foundation, The Global Village vzw, we provided consultancy in a joint venture that resulted in equity investment in a The Bonnies Centre, Nigeria, an orphanage and beneficiary of our Corporate Social Responsibility programme. We are advisers to the City of Ostend on ethnic minority matters and international development affairs. We served on the Education Board until 2008 and currently serve on the Board of the Municipal Library of the City.
